Here is the Ball Bet Game to use in conjunction with any 10-question multiple-choice assessment you have. Use the code generator to use with the Ball Bet Game.

I made two quiz applications to use with students to help build self-knowledge and metacognition. These are NOT standalone apps.

Here is a VIDEO of how to play the Ball Bet game.

Here is a VIDEO of how to play the Slider Bet game.

I learned about ball bets from the fantastic book "The Scout Mindset" by Julia Galef. Ball bets were formulated by Douglas Hubbard which you can read about in "How to Measure Anything: Finding the Value of Intangibles in Business."

Here is the workflow for each:

1) Create a 10-question multiple-choice assessment for students and print or share it electronically with students.

2) Go to the code generator and input your answer key. This will automatically generate a 10-digit code to share with students so the betting games reference YOUR answer key.

3) Share either a link for the Ball Bet game or the Slider Bet game with your students. They need to input the 10-digit code made by the code generator so that the games are using YOUR answer key.

4) Once students input the 10-digit code they will work through the 10 questions you provided and the games will auto-grade their responses. MORE IMPORTANTLY, prior to answering each question students will estimate how well they KNOW the answer by betting on themselves. In both games, students can earn up to 1,000 points or chips.

5) When students complete the 10-questions they can share a screenshot of the last screen with you which will show how many questions they scored correctly, how many points or chips they earned, and their self-knowledge score.
