About me

I currently teach AP Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, and Environmental Science at Seneca East High School in Attica, Ohio. My beautiful wife, wise daughters, and I try often to watch the sunshine, accessorize with sweat, and laugh until chocolate milk drips from our noses.

Favorite books I read this year: The Big Picture: On the Origins of Life, Meaning, and the Universe Itself by Sean Carroll, and Complexity: a Guided Tour by Melanie Mitchell.

Favorite quote: "We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." Martin Luther King, Jr. Letter from Birmingham Jail

Favorite TED Talk: The Power of Introverts, Susan Cain

Favorite MOOC: Model Thinking, Scott E Page

Favorite Podcasts: Life of the School and Radiolab

Feel free to leave me feedback about the use and implementation of quantitative modeling in your classes.
